Dr. Ramin Rahmani

For Dr. Rahmani, the road to becoming the caring, skilled, and experienced endodontist he is today began at York University in Toronto, Canada, which is where he earned his undergraduate degree. Then, he moved to New York to complete dental school. Following graduation, he underwent a general practice residency at NYU Langone Lutheran Hospital, which is where he discovered his passion for endodontics. This inspired him to complete an advanced education program in Endodontics at NYU.

In the years since, Dr. Rahmani has completed advanced training in endodontic treatment to ensure he is up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies. While his experience and education are certainly impressive, what really makes him unique is his commitment to providing each and every one of his patients with the compassion and one-on-one attention that they deserve. That’s one of the many reasons he’s so trusted by patients in River Edge!

Chose Dr Rahmani due to all of the 5 star reviews and I am not disappointed! I was extremely nervous about getting a Root Canal but he was so gentle and quick that it was almost pleasant! Gave me antibiotics to make sure my external infection was cleared up before he finished in another session. The office even called to check up on me after the first session. TOTALLY recommend this office and Dr Rahmani!

Why Are You Looking for an Endodontist Near River Edge?

There are many reasons you might type “endodontist near me” into a search engine, from sudden tooth pain to needing a second opinion. At North Jersey Endodontic Group of Paramus, Dr. Ramin Rahmani is proud of his success in saving smiles with advanced dental technology. Whether you’ve been told you need a root canal near River Edge or need a consultation to discover what’s happening with your teeth, our team can diagnose the problem and guide you toward the right solution.

I Need a Root Canal

If your tooth is severely decayed, sensitive to hot and cold, or throbbing constantly, you may need a root canal. Dr. Rahmani uses state-of-the-art technology like cone beam scanners and laser-activated irrigation to remove infection, relieve pain, and preserve your natural teeth. With these modern conveniences at our fingertips, you might be surprised at how comfortable root canal treatment can be.

I Need Endodontic Retreatment

Sometimes a tooth that has already had a root canal can become uncomfortable again or show signs of infection on an X-ray. While these cases are rare, retreatment can give your smile another chance to avoid extraction.

As an experienced endodontist near River Edge, Dr. Rahmani will carefully reopen your tooth, clean and disinfect its canals, and place new filling material for a better, safer, and longer-lasting seal.

I Have a Cracked Tooth

A cracked tooth can cause lingering sensitivity, sharp pain when you bite, or discomfort that comes and goes as it pleases. If left untreated, bacteria can seep through the crack and infect the pulp inside.

Once you arrive at our endodontic office near River Edge, we’ll evaluate cracks using advanced imaging and dental microscopes. If the crack is severe, we’ll explain all your options so you can make an informed decision.

I Am in Pain and Need Help

If you’re in serious discomfort, there’s nothing to be gained by “toughing it out.” Tooth pain doesn’t go away on its own when the problem is resolved—only when it gets worse. Before the nerves of your teeth are compromised, you should give us a call.

Our team prioritizes patients in pain and will do everything possible to see you as soon as we can. Dr. Rahmani will diagnose the source of your discomfort and recommend treatment to relieve it—often on the very same day.

I Want to Lighten My Root Canal-Treated Tooth

A tooth that has had a root canal can sometimes darken over time, and it can be especially noticeable at the front of your smile. Internal oxidation is a safe cosmetic option that lightens your tooth from the inside out using a safe, effective whitening agent.

Dr. Rahmani can place this inside your tooth to gradually brighten its color, often over just a few short visits. If you’re unhappy with the way a previously treated tooth looks, we can help it blend in again.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do you do if you can't afford an endodontist?

When it comes to dental procedures, like root canals, patients are often worried about two things: pain and price. If that’s the case for you, you’ll be happy to hear that we numb your mouth thoroughly to ensure you don’t feel any discomfort in the treatment chair. Additionally, we will provide you with an estimate of the cost upfront and review all of the different financial solutions that are available, including dental insurance. In short, we’re here to make the process of eliminating the infection and restoring your healthy smile as stress-free and headache-free as possible.

How do I get emergency dental care?

If there is a severe crack in your enamel, there is a pimple-like bump on your gums, or you’re experiencing dull, persistent throbbing, don’t wait – contact our team at North Jersey Endodontic Group ASAP. Over the phone, an experienced and helpful member of our team will learn about the symptoms you’re experiencing to determine how urgent the situation is. Then, if same-day care is necessary, they will schedule an emergency visit at our office. They’ll also share what to do in the meantime, like using a cold compress, rinsing with warm saltwater, or not chewing on one side of your mouth.

What level of education is required to be an endodontist?

First, the aspiring endodontist must earn their undergraduate degree, be accepted to an accredited dental school, and complete 3+ years of in-classroom and hands-on training. After they’ve earned their dental doctorate, they must complete additional training in endodontics. Dr. Rahmani, for example, completed an advanced education program in Endodontics at NYU.
